Ghanian Movies Banned in Nigeria
To lovers of Ghanian movies in Nigeria, this might be coming as
a rude shock and bad news, as Film, Video producers and Marketers
association of Nigeria (FVPMAN) has placed an embargo on Ghanaian films
which will take effect from the end of June. The association also halted
the distribution of films produced by non-professionals. This was
confirmed by the association’s chairman in Onitsha Mr. Uzo Godson Nwosu,
who said the decision was taken due to the fact that their Ghanian
counterparts have banned the distribution of Nigerian films in their
country long ago.
